Six Sigma Awareness for Process Improvement with Generative AI Applications
This one-day Six Sigma Awareness program introduces participants to the fundamental concepts of process improvement using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology. The course focuses on helping participants understand how processes operate, how variation affects quality and efficiency, and how structured problem-solving methods can be applied to improve operational performance. Participants will learn essential Six Sigma tools such as process mapping, stakeholder analysis, critical-to-customer (CTC) identification, root cause analysis, fishbone diagrams, and the 5 Whys technique. Through practical examples and short exercises, participants will learn how these tools help identify problems, analyze process issues, and support improvement initiatives. A unique element of this course is the introduction of Generative AI tools to assist with some Six Sigma activities. Participants will see how AI can support tasks such as brainstorming potential causes, structuring problem statements, identifying improvement ideas, and drafting action plans. By the end of the program, participants will gain a clear understanding of Six Sigma thinking and how AI tools can support process improvement work in modern organizations.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
Explain the basic principles of Six Sigma and the DMAIC improvement framework.
Analyze process problems using tools such as process maps, fishbone diagrams, and 5 Whys.
Apply simple methods to identify customer requirements and process performance metrics.
Diagnose possible sources of process variation and operational issues.
Utilize Generative AI tools to assist in brainstorming, problem analysis, and improvement planning.
